LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Our Lexington office is seeking an accomplished, highly motivated Landscape Designer with strong design skills to support a wide range of planning, urban design and landscape projects. The Urban Design & Planning/Landscape Architecture Practice works on a wide variety of integrated public and private landscape architecture, urban design and planning projects, both for our own clients as well as in support of other Practice Areas within the firm.

 Background/Education

  • Must have an accredited graduate/professional degree in Landscape Architecture.

  • Landscape Architectural Registration, LEED accreditation and/or AICP certification are advantageous in our firm but not required.

  • 3-5 years’ minimum experience in a design office environment.

Site / Landscape Designer

Element Design is an award-winning landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering firm with offices in Lexington, Louisville, and Murray.  We operate a dynamic and fast-paced practice working on challenging and rewarding projects throughout the region. 

Element Design is looking for a Full-Time Site / Landscape Designer for our Lexington, KY office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience and be a team player who is willing to learn from and work with a highly talented and experienced team.

Responsibilities and Duties include providing project support for a variety of projects and scales, ranging from master planning through development of construction drawings and construction administration. A Bachelor’s and / or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture is required, along with a solid foundation of strong drafting skills and experience with construction drawings. In addition, proficiency with AutoCad and Adobe Creative Suite software and experience with 3D modelling and rendering software such as Sketchup and Lumion is desired.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to work independently on multiple tasks, with a willingness to perform a variety of activities as needed by the team. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent design skills, are key.
