Thank you to our Platinum Sponsor, Reading Rock.

Living Architecture is a growth industry in North America, moving from a boutique phase to mainstream implementation. Landscape Architects should be central to the work of Living Architecture, but are we there yet? This session provides an overview of the status of the industry and the presence of landscape architects in its leadership, resources such as organizations and literature, and the scenes of research and education in Living Architecture. Participants will be given an overview of the new Living Architecture Performance Tool (GRHC) and the Accredited Green Roof Professional Program IGRP).

Virginia L Russell, FASLA, PLA, SITES AP, LEED AP, GRP is the founding Director of the Urban Horticulture and Landscape Architecture programs at the University of Cincinnati. She is a past member of the Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) Board of Directors, past Chair of the GRHC Research Committee, and a founding Chair of the GRHC Green Roof Accredited Professional (GRP) Program. She is a North American delegate for the World Congress on Green Roofs and Associate Director of the Greater Ohio Living Architecture (GOLA) Regional Center of Excellence.
